To ensure all students enjoy the same high quality Otago MBA academic adventure, we require that all applicants have
- an undergraduate degree
- minimum of three years relevant work experience
- a Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score of 550+
- English language proficiency equivalent to an IELTS score of at least 6.5

Undergraduate Degree
It is the University of Otago's policy that original certified transcripts from universities are provided. In certain cases you may need to have your qualification evaluated by Education Credential Evaluators. You can find more information about this on our international admissions page. The University of Otago reserves the right to request an external evaluation of academic qualifications from any applicant.
Work Experience
You will need to provide two detailed references as evidence of your work experience.
GMAT Test
Every candidate applying for the Otago MBA is required to complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) in its entirety and have achieved a score of 550+. You do not need to do this until we request it of you. However, if you have already done this test you must ensure that an original GMAT score report is sent to the Otago MBA, University of Otago, PO Box 56, Dunedin, New Zealand. English Language Proficiency
The Otago MBA is taught and examined in English. If your first language is not English you must provide evidence of a satisfactory level of English language proficiency.
