Dr David Holdsworth

David originally completed a PhD in environmental science and worked in related environmental consulting in New Zealand both with the private sector Royds Garden Consulting Engineers and NZ government, Lands & Survey Department and NZ Wildlife Service. Read more

David originally completed a PhD in environmental science (supervised by Sir Alan Mark) and worked some years in related environmental consulting in New Zealand both with the private sector Royds Garden Consulting Engineers and NZ government, Lands & Survey Department and NZ Wildlife Service.

With the changing political scene in New Zealand in the 1980s and the need for good managers in commerce and the public service David completed the Otago MBA, in 1988.

David has worked since in management positions in business development, marketing research, marketing management and marketing strategy as well as owning his own business. David’s research and teaching experience at Otago University is managing business projects with local businesses, pricing, tourism marketing and marketing research.  Research interests are in export food marketing, tertiary education marketing and human decision making.
